Abruzzo day trip

Have you ever considered taking a break from Rome for one day and immersing yourself in something completely different?
Abruzzo is often described as “strong and kind”: it’s my second home and I’m grateful to have been embraced by this rugged, authentic and generous region.
Despite being overlooked by the millions of visitors who flock to major Italian tourist destinations, Abruzzo has remained largely untouched due to its economy based on rural and farming activities.
Its territory offers everything: mountains, lakes, beaches, ski slopes, hills and vineyards.
Our day tour will lead us to the charming city of Sulmona with its elegant churches and the medieval aqueduct and of course we’ll explore the vibrant confetti (sugar coated almonds) shops to sample some of these traditional treats. After Sulmona we’ll drive to the lake and town of Scanno and other nearby villages.
Abruzzo has also a strong culinary reputation: if you are invited for lunch never claim to be on a diet!
We’ll make stops to visit small producers and stores of cheeses, pasta, wine and confetti.
The tour will be led by car and can be tailored to your preferences.
